About us

DoorHandleSprings.co.uk is the website of Northern DIY Ltd.  We're based in Yorkshire and since 2011 we have been developing our business specialising in Door Handle Springs and Letterbox Springs.  Our business has grown from our own frustration of not being able to find readily available parts to repair door handles and letterboxes. Repairing these items not only saves money but can also be very much easier than replacing them.  For example, it's not always easy to find a replacement handle that matches the others in your house.  If the handle plate is a different size or shape you can end up having to repaint the whole door to cover up the marks left by the old handle.  

Please note we are a small family business and from time to time we take a break from running the website.  During these periods most of our products are still available on Amazon.
